Secret Share

Utility: Securely share passwords, API tokens, sensitive credentials, or private notes via instant messengers and emails without leaving plaintext in chat logs.

Zero-Storage Privacy: Your secret never leaves your browser unencrypted. The encrypted and compressed payload is stored entirely inside the URL hash fragment (#), which is never transmitted to any web server or recorded in server logs.

Security Details: Uses AES-256-GCM authenticated encryption with PBKDF2 key derivation (100,000 rounds of SHA-256) and a unique cryptographic salt and IV per link.

Best Practice: For high security, send the link without the key through your main chat app, and send the password through a secondary channel (e.g. SMS, Signal, or phone call).
